I’m back on the blog!! 😎 It’s been ages since I wrote, but I just HAD to post this week because I’m literally bursting with excitement. 🤩
This Saturday is going to be HUGE – we’re dancing in the Rumble finals! 🔥 And guess what? I get to perform with my crew from Kinetic Creative Studio – Kudos!! 💯 That’s my dance fam, and honestly, I can’t imagine dancing with anyone else. We’ve been training so hard and pushing each other heaps, and the energy we’ve got right now is crazy.
If you don’t know about Rumble yet, let me tell you! Rumble started way back in 2005 as a dance comp, and now it’s celebrating its 20th year! 🎉 It’s become one of the biggest and most respected dance comps in Brisbane. What makes it so epic is that dancers get to show their choreography in front of a nationally famous panel of judges and a massive, super-loud crowd that brings all the hype. The atmosphere is insane – like nothing else.
Rumble is run by Brisbane’s own Rhys Hume, who also happens to be the Director of Kinetic Creative Studio (yep, that’s our studio!). Before that, it was called Lucid Moves. Rhys is seriously awesome – he loves this hip-hop and street dance community, especially the youth, and he always tries to bring light and positivity to everything he does. You can totally feel that when you’re part of something like Rumble. 🙌
Now, here’s the best part… we’ve got a brand-new routine ready for the finals. And honestly? It’s wild. The beats are banging, the moves are sharp, and every time we run it, I get this feeling like I’m on top of the world. I can’t stop smiling when I dance it. 😁
And get this – this is my very first finals with Kudos… and somehow we made it into TWO finals this year!! 🤯 Like, how cool is that?! All the practices, the late nights, the sore legs, the jokes with the crew – it’s all been totally worth it.
I’m literally counting down the days, the hours, the minutes until Saturday. I can’t wait to hit that stage, feel the lights, hear the music, and just give it everything I’ve got. Rumble is going to be ELECTRIC.
